We must protect choice for future generations
Dear Richard,
Pro-choice Americans recently came to Washington, D.C. to tell Congress to keep anti-choice politics out of the health-care reform bill. Tomorrow, we’re taking our fight against the Stupak-Pitts language to the next level.
Timing is everything. We must keep our ad on the air and air the ad as many times as possible — from media markets in Bart Stupak’s district in Michigan to Maine and beyond. We also need to air the ad here in Washington, D.C., where the Senate is already debating the future of a woman’s right to choose!
Anti-choice politicians are threatening to vote against health-care reform unless the bill contains the egregious Stupak-Pitts amendment that passed in the House. This amendment could be introduced in the Senate at any moment.
If the Senate doesn’t say no to the Stupak-Pitts amendment, American women could face one of the worst restrictions on their right to choose in a generation.
Our goal is to raise $75,000 by Monday, December 7 to protect choice. Key senators must see that pro-choice Americans mean it when we say: “Keep anti-choice politics out of the health-care reform bill!”
Help us air this ad as many times as possible. We must protect choice for future generations. And to make an impact on all 100 senators who are debating health-care reform right now, we need to run this ad in Washington, D.C.
Please help today. The time to act is now.
Sincerely,

Nancy Keenan
President, NARAL Pro-Choice America
P.S. You can help keep the pressure on Congress. Don’t let politicians compromise away a woman’s right to choose. Donate today to help us air this ad and protect choice at every level.
