Thomas Paine's version of "you didn't build that":
"Separate an individual from society, and give him an island or a continent to possess, and he cannot acquire personal property. He cannot be rich. So inseparably are the means connected with the end,in all cases, that where the former do not exist the latter cannot be obtained. All accumulation, therefore,of personal property, beyond what a man's own hands produce, is derived to him by living in society; and he owes on every principle of justice,of gratitude, and of civilization,a part of that accumulation back again to society from whence the whole came"

The Republican Party makes tonight’s tool time for some members’ recent contributions to the debate over women’s health. Now some Democrats have blasted RNC Reince Priebus, saying that he was comparing women to caterpillars. Yesterday, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker signed GOP bills barring abortion coverage through health insurance exchanges and requiring doctors to consult privately with women seeking abortions. And today Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant received a bill that would close the sole remaining abortion clinic in the entire state, he intends to sign it. But taking exception to the so-called “war on women” isn’t why these Republican are being such abject tools. It’s the fact that they’re busy whining about a fake political war, when often they’re the ones waging a fanciful war themselves.
